🗓️ The transition of one year to the next is simultaneously a moment of celebration and reflection. It’s a time when we look forward in anticipation of growth and renewal, and backwards for lessons and understanding.
🏺Lately, I’ve been enjoying learning a little about the Japanese art and philosophy of Kintsukuroi … the art of repairing pottery with gold, and the philosophy that the piece is more beautiful for having been broken.
⌛️This concept has resonated with me deeply, both aesthetically and philosophically, as this year comes to an end.

⛓️💥 The art and pottery itself is beautiful, displaying and celebrating breaks with strength, and imperfections with grace. The philosophy represented is inspirational and foundational, that we are whole and beautiful, and that the broken parts are sometimes the strongest and most graceful aspects of our whole selves.
🥂 Best wishes to everyone for good health and positive growth in the new year!
